Why was he banned from the Puc Fada?

The gammon's would have been cheering on "England" surely?

Felt sorry for NZ. THey had no luck. When the run chase was on Stokes was very very fortunate to get the six when his bat deflected a throw at the stumps. And of course had the fielder off-loaded to his backup before stepping over the rope Stokes and England's chances with him would've been gone.

Great spectacle. Right down to the wire. But I think they need to revisit the rules. Both teams were on the same runs at the end of the 50 overs, with NZ having taken one more wicket than England. Yet had the Super Over ended in a draw England would've won on number of boundaries. Number of Sixes maybe, at a stretch, but boundaries trumping wickets seems a bit silly to me.

Always good to see an Irishman lift the World Cup I think

The super overs did end in a draw and that's exactly how England won...right?

His mother is English so I see no difficulty about him having a loyalty to both places. (His father is Irish.)

Ireland showing world champions how to play real cricket in test match today. None of this makey-uppy limited overs stuff.
England 59 for 8.

Murtagh with five wickets, not bad for a 37 year old.

John Major went to the Cricket the day he stopped being PM.
Mrs May would want to hurry up is she wants to see any.
