She went out of her way - literally - to burn the innocent civilians (so much for her claim to be the "breaker of chains") instead of heading directly to the Red Keep where she knew the other mad bitch was.

At the end of the day it looks like GOT can be summarised in three words

"Bitches be crazy!"

Im not buying it. They did a disservice to the 8years of character building and gave two fingers to the audience.
I never truly believed she was freeing all those slaves out of the goodness of her heart. I think her only ever motivation, just like her brothers, was to sit on top of the iron throne. Freeing the slaves and not harming the innocents was always just a way of building up her own reputation, a bit of propaganda, so that when she arrived in kings landing everybody would welcome her with open arms.

For someone who was freeing slaves and not harming the innocent there was always something unlikable about her. Most big fans of the books and show I know have disliked her from the start.
It all makes sense now as to why...soon as she realised she had no true claim to the throne anymore and that no one would accept her anyway she knew there was only one other way left to take it..in her own words.. FEAR.

If they had kept up the same storytelling pace as season 1-4 for the last 2 seasons Jon Snow and the lads would only be heading beyond the wall at the end of this season. The budget would have been a lot smaller in the early seasons so storytelling ahead of action was the strong point ( remember we never saw any of the battles Rob Stark won on the big screen or Tyrion first time in combat when leading the mountain folks with Bronn )

The latter seasons all have had a few big battles and it might have impacted on the storytelling but if after 8 seasons if we can't get a good read on the main players state of mind than it should be time to watch it all again.

How many people did she actually kill in the first 7 seasons? Absolutely thousands...the Tarlys got turned into bacon fries for not bending the knee and she had no problem yelling Sam that she did so...hardly the work of normal balanced individual..

But those weren't civilians. They were enemies.

It's always implied that the dragon blood is tainted with insanity thanks to incest.

Annoying voice aside, good analysis of the difference between foreshadowing and character development.
