You can add about 20 years onto that. And realistically it'll likely never happen. Government has zero interest in providing meaningful public transport infrastructure in Cork.

They have zero interest in Cork full stop, they are happy to announce their 2040 plan and then leave the private sector to do all the heavy lifting without providing the infrastructure that would provide a significant additional catalyst!!

None of us are the ones developing it!!

I am interested to hear from people who oppose these developments what they would prefer instead. You mention you would like to retain more of the original features but it does appear to be keeping all of them so is it that without the highrise you would like? Are have you seen developments elsewhere that we could replicate?

By 2040 we’ll have a light rail system, a decent road to limerick and am events centre.

Because of the location and height, this building will be a cork landmark for decades. The design doesn't come remotely close to living up to that status. A thoughtless glass clad block, like their other crap attempt with the prism.
