The pubs certainly are not. Douglas punches well above it's weight with Barrys and the South County.

No wonder the shops are all closing down, we do our shopping in Brown Thomas and Harrods.

It'd odd for an area with such apparent wealth these gaffs are empty. The pubs and restaurants are busy alright. I think wetherspoons across from Barry's would light the place up.
Time for a bit of cop on, the place is generally depressing

Lol

Barrys?

That place is the epitome of soulless.
It's like it was made from a template for soulless bars.
Of course the wall to wall assholes who drink there don't help.

The shops are closing down because you'd want to be suicidal to go into Douglas never mind go shopping in there. It's easier to get into and out of town ffs.
😁

U ok hun?

Barry's is a quality bar, fucking jointed at the weekends, always busy for matches, a restaurant that always seems to be full, and a great buzz any time I'm in there.

Granted you need to have a bit of money to go in there, and every bar has unpleasant people.

Have to say I don't go to Douglas too often, but when I do the South County is a class bar run by people who value their customers.
