Default Official Munster Rugby Thread 2018/2019

countdown to the new season is on

https://munsterrugby.ie/2018/07/27/s...nternationals/

new signings like Beirne & Botha will add to the pack and hopefully Carberry settles the out-half problems we've had for years. The utility back Mike Haley they picked up from Sale looks like a handy player too

likely 23 for the coming season will be as follows:

kilcoyne, Scannell, Ryan, Kleyn, Beirne, POM, Cloete, Stander, Murray, Carberry, Earls ,Farell, Taute, Sweetnam, Conway

Cronin, Marshall, Archer, Holland, TOD, Williams, Blyendaal, Haley

throw in the likes of Mike Sherry, Dave O Callaghan, Jack O Donoghue and Botha up front and the likes of Keatley, Scannell, Arnold and Wotton in the backs and there is plenty talent there if the squad stays injury free

would imagine a lot of the fringe squad members will start the two pre season games which should give a few of those lads a chance to shine

Looking forward to champions cup trips to Exeter and Gloucester and will hopefully get a game or two in the Rabo also

Roll on with it indeed Coogee, this season we seem to have a very strong squad and also with a proper pre season with VG, hopefully things should be a lot better this year.
I am looking forward to seeing Carbery in a Munster kit.

Another season of "I hope there's a better option than Williams at SH".

Looking forward to seeing Haley and how he fares.

I have a feeling and as expected that we will manage just excellently without that Zebo fella.
Anyone remember him ?

Don't think we'll see JOD this season. Not sure how TOD is going either. However, the squad looks very strong.

I can't wait to see how Haley and Beirne get on. Boomer should be back too - He's got a lot of potential.

Doing the rounds on twitter for a try he scored against Brazil of all people.
Looks a tad belly heavy, must be the horizontal stripes. Fierce unflattering.

Took a good line, great acceleration into the gap and we know that he's a good finisher. He's a good player but I think we've had bigger losses and survived.

Yep, agreed. Had him at his peak, Munster are often, rightly, accused of holding onto players for too long but I think they called it right in this regard.
