Use of the term president is unusual for political parties. Don't think it is used by the other parties here. Doesn't carry the same weight as Leader would suggest a certain inferiority complex

But it's not just the Ard Comhairle Officer Board that make the decisions of the Ard Comhairle. It's the entire Ard Comhairle. So the notion that MLMD is dictating to the Ard Comhairle by dint of being president is fanciful.
