Default Inequality toward men

I've been thinking lately about inequality toward men in terms of paternity/maternity leave. Why is this never brought up in gender inequality discussions? 4 weeks leave for men versus 6 months paid + 4 months unpaid for women. How is this equal? Am i missing something? Any thoughts on this, or do you know of other gender imbalances against men? We (rightly) are hearing a lot lately about the gender pay gaps, and glass ceiling for women, but equality discussions surely must aim to balance the scales for both sexes.

My daughter is preggers. Both herself and daddy have equal time off. Equality ftw, he'll be changing nappies in the middle of the night, the bollox 😂

Sure if we all thought like that we'd still be working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. Nothing would have changed in terms of workers rights and entitlements since the industrial revolution. "Lads, do you think we should ask to have our working week in this coalmine without protective equipment cut from 90 to 80 hours a week?" "Man up FFS and stop moaning". Ok then. Lets just continue like this forever.

If women can wear skirts to work, should men be allowed to wear shorts? In fact why should men have to wear shirts and ties in certain jobs while a woman can wear a glorified tshirt masquerading under the term "blouse"?

Also I saw an ad today on my internal work online noticeboard. Some girl advertising a room to rent, and said "females only". How is that not discrimination?

So by that argument you are suggesting all women who have babies and take time off are lazy gits also. FFS, my point is that there is so much talk of equality, which is totally one-sided.
