Then, I am a very happy shitmuncher, whatever that is.

With Tommy, you leave your shit, baggage, preconceived notions etc. at the door. When you get on the Tommy bus, you can go anywhere. He said this at one of his Vicar Street gigs and it's a fairly good description of the show.

Despite all the Tommy negativity, I don't see anyone mentioning Irish comedians that are better. I've seen all of these live - Des Bishop, Dara O' Briain, Ed Byrne, Jason Byrne, David O' Doherty, Maeve Higgins, David Mc Savage.

No one comes even close to Tommy IMO, though Dara O'Briain is up there, and probably the best of the rest. But even Dara O'Briain gigs are not even half way up the energy level that a Tommy gig can produce.

Dylan Moran is ten times the comedian Tommy ever will be.

His material is shit and crucially he's simply not funny.
'Fuuuuuuuck, whoooooa look at me I'm SHOUTING'.
The guy is a gimp.

I'd rate Pat Shortt above him.

I would rate Dara O'Briain a lot higher than tommy tiernan,if you mean tommy has energy any clown can run around the stage.

Tiernan's brand of comedy is unoriginal, unintelligent and tiresome.

Tickets are apparently going very well, the Cork city gig at Rochestown Park Hotel is almost sold out on ticketmaster, but they are still available at the venue, well some friends got them there today at the hotel's reception desk. They don't post them out which is a pain in the arse, you need to call into the hotel reception directly.

Default 2nd gig in Douglas at Rochestown Park Hotel

2nd gig announced for Tommy in Douglas.

He is now playing the Rochestown Park Hotel for a second night.
The additional date is Wednesday March 24th, the original date is Sunday March 28th which is now sold out on ticketmaster but tickets are still available at the hotel. From talking to others it seems that they are selling tickets at all the venues to cater for locals.
