I don't get what the big deal is with operating systems... I've used Linux, OS X, and windows... and coded with all three...

Granted, windows is a heap of shite for pretty much everything, and Linux is much faster etc... but I actually find OS X leopard the best of the three overall for various reasons, TextMate being one of them, superior graphics being another, also I love the workflow...

But come on, the learning curve ain't very steep at all, it's not rocket science... installation is just a matter of following instructions... and it's hardly a reason to tell someone they can't work at a company...
