Nice one, Jeeps.

I've looked into the Roku box for my dad.

One of the lads in work here has one, he's not at all technical but he says it works away and he has no problems using it.

I had a look around town for it. Soundstore and Harvey Norman are both selling the Roku 1 for about €80 or thereabouts.

According to Roku's website, that model is pretty much out of production. They are selling the Roku 2 for the same price (£49) as the older model.

The problem is that they won't deliver to Ireland.

Amazon appear to have it as well for about £60, might go with that option for him.

Amazon sounds reasonable. I bought one a few years ago and it was the same thing, couldn't get the new model here and had to buy off Amazon.

Is it worth waiting for the Chromebit or the Intel compute stick over the Roku?
