I think it would be robbery to take it off Crouch. He was the one who hit the shot, the keeper got a touch to it but it was going in anyway.

Actually, 'twas an OG. The keeper tried to scoop it over the bar but made a mess of it.

If it was going in anyway he would have got it.
It mustn't have been.

Fair fucks to him - the pool are doing well lately

WTF???

It was going in but the keeper had ample chance to scoop it over but he fucked it up. It was going in though. Did you not see it?

I did, unless his initial shot before deflection wasn't going on target.
I thought if it was on target he would have got it.
Put I suppose the goalie knocking it in the way he did might constitute an own goal.

What I'm trying to say is that if it was on target he would have got it, would he not?

Usually when a keeper gets a touch and the ball goes in its a goal to the striker.

However, this was a bit different in that he knocked it down towards his own goal.

Heh heh heh.

What a donkey, celebrating an O.G, muppet.

If he keeps up this form he might get 2-3 goals this season, surely a contender for signing of the season.

He took a shot that may or may not have been on target ... and even if it was the keeper may or may not have saved it ... it took some unholy deflection that changed that shots initial path completely. Then the keeper tries to scoop it over the bar but ends up hooking into his own net. Crouch may have taken the shot but to credit him with that goal is absolutely comical. I think people just felt sorry for the lad and said "sure we'll just let him have it". Still though he did bag the second (his first) so fair fucks. Hopefully it will improve his confidence and he can grab a few more.
