No, because I passed through on my way from Cobh to Ashton and back 5 days a week for more years than I care to remember. But I slept there more than once after d'Arc on a Saturday night. We'd find a train with the windows open (Cobh line so as not to wake up in Limerick Junction), and be up with the birds for bacon sangwidges at O'Briens on McCurtain St.

My mother had more to be worried about I suppose. Sure I was hitch-hiking around Europe by myself before I was 15. Used to hitch over to Reading for the festival. I mean, she did decide to live out in the middle of nowhere, so there was no way to get home of a Saturday night. I always told her I slept at a friend's place up St Lukes, which I often did, but on occasion couldn't. More than once we walked to Little Island, or on to Rushbrooke where I had another friend. Not so far if you walk along the train tracks. Couldn't catch the last train - would have missed the band.

There's a book in you I'd say.

I'll have a copy. If you write it in Irish he could be the modern day Peig Sayers.

Wonderful!!
