Very good question. I'm told there was already an award winning Community Association in the neighbourhood but the Traders on Douglas Street didn't seem to get along with them and when the Nuns gave the land (and buildings) to the city they jumped on board and used their contacts in city hall to squeeze out the old Community Association. Seems to be a bit more going on behind the scenes, and it was in the councils interest to move the CA out of their venue in the White Street Car Park much of which is now converted to much needed housing. Interesting times. A good set up in a much bigger space but I think the CA have been effectively side-lined by a better backed and more financially astute setup in the new centre

It's common knowledge how much was pumped into it
Haven't a clue what went on behind the scenes

Dunno, but the way things are going we could be on the way to a Cromwellian quarter

well i haven't a clue what went on but it screams wealth and while I enjoyed the play it seems strange to have this centre in all its splendour, considering the lack of resources in other areas of the city..

OK so, let’s knock it down so it matches other parts of the city!
Just accept it for what it is and enjoy it.

A well managed and delivered project. Kudos to all involved.
A good addition to the area.
Damned if you do and damned if you don’t for some people though.

Never never there must be some conspiracy with the woke Brigade . It's religious order that gave something to the city . Knock it down now now now.
