If they had gone with the original tender from OCP it would be up and running by now.

Its a farce.

BAM are one of the only companies who build anything in Cork and are a multinational company with interests across most major cities in Europe. Cork is easily less than 1% of their business but BAM account for about 70% of the construction in Cork.

Great to see PJ Hegartys start to give them some competition as they completed the office block on the South Mall with no fuss and are well advanced at Penrose Quay and both for JCD Developments. Sisks also just finished a big project at the Bon Secours.

BAM need the E.C. to go ahead to make their other projects and sites more viable anyway and with what is planned down the South Docks they need to start sharpening their pencils and cop the fock on.

BAM are currently working on by far the biggest project under construction in Cork on Horgans Quay, they are also doing much of the heaving lifting on Nav Sq.

Reputation wise with the N.C.H. cost overruns in Dublin and the ongoing E.C. in Cork as well as the huge budget error in the tender for the new port at Ringaskiddy they will be under serious scrutiny.
