I seem to remember someone telling me about counselling in town by some religious organisation.
It might be worth looking into if you can overlook who is running it.
I'm sorry my memory isn't more specific on where it is but I have a vague memory of father Matthew Street being mentioned.

Is it possible to see a psychiatrist quicker in another country by going private?

In Germany the standard health insurance covers 90% of people, private can be taken if your income exceeds a certain amount or you are self employed. Mental Health is covered under the state system but I never had any issues getting an appointment in a reasonable time.
