Your Mental Health

Guy above is usually a Manchester United content creator in you tube. All of a sudden he seems to lose a lot of weight and looked great.

But of course it wasn't all of a sudden, and there was a sad story behind how he'd been severely depressed and contemplating (and attempting) suicide.

I'd never have guessed it about him. The video is well worth a watch. As he says himself it's small steps most of the time in caring for yourself and your mental health that make the difference.
The sadness in his eyes scares me, like he's looking out at the world but feels detached from it.
Don't know his story but hope he keeps up the therapy regardless of the weight loss.

Walking has really helped my mental health. I recently got a B12 injection too and am due another. It has made a marked difference on my mood and temperament.
Supplements are a very good idea in general, peeps should get extensive bloods done and what you are deficient in can be taken then. I suppose I was in hospital so over time I learned what I needed.

Good to hear Stuffy, keep it up

I’ve been off drink for a few months and don’t miss it (never been a huge drinker anyway)
Need to get that bit more fit

Mental health is always a very personal thing .today on their anniversary I remember someone close in my family who struggled but was much loved .
Everyone has their own thoughts and doubts about things,I find it key to try and compartmentalise things. I've learned as an exercise that helps me ,get a sheet of paper and draw a line down the middle ,list my worries and doubts on one side and more importantly list the good things in my life on the other side of the line.
Often the negative thoughts flood your mind and that's when you need to compartmentalise them and list out all the good things. What makes you happy ,your family, your friends ,an interaction you had with a stranger even where you shared a few passing words and a smile.
Life is a struggle at times but don't be alone in that struggle ,you are more loved than you you so always go to that positive side of the page and get help if you need it.

Spot on!
It's the glass half full analogy. Being negative doesn't serve anyone. Life throws you curve balls and in the moment it's hard but list of good things is always a good place to start when the feels get tricky.

Only an hour ago I was scrolling through Facebook and came across a video of The Alan Parsons Project. The song drop kicked me back to a memory and it floored me. I sobbed , literally heaved a glut of emotion. Took me by surprise ' cos I thought I had got passed all that and I have definitely but that moment just caught me.

Thought about all the good stuff since and the mood is back on track.
Positivity is key. Compartmentalisation is a good way to see the wood for the trees.
