I wonder were you close to me?Yeah, same here - had a great time last night and it was my second time seeing this particular show. I saw it right at the beginning in London - a day or two after the Gregg Wallace news broke. Lots stayed in from then but a fair bit had changed too.
Two things frustrated me. The first - and this is a purely self-indulgent one - the fella sitting directly behind me had the most annoying laugh that I have encountered in a long time. It was almost performative - he was like an old school Vaudeville plant. He also had to keep repeating the punchlines and/or explaining the jokes to his companion.
Secondly - was this thing actually sold out? The Cork Opera House website had it listed thusly for months. Friends of mine have been contacting the ticket office for weeks looking for cancellations etc. only to be told it was booked solid. I was sitting halfway back on the ground floor and there were 5 seats right in front of me which were never occupied. There were clearly more empty rows/seats because Stew mentioned it but worked it into his act.
I thought that the lad sitting next to me was going to die from laughing during the Bob Dylan bit.
