Tullamore is a wonderfully dull midlands town. There used be a pub there years ago called Annie Kelly’s and to this day I’ve never found an old man pub like it. Yours truly and a couple of other FFers were thrown out of it for making too much noise during the Late Late Show. The locals didn’t like it one bit that 5/6 18 year olds landed in.

Yeah Tullamore is fairly dreadful. No redeeming qualities there whatsoever tbh. It is essentially best known for the brutal murder of a young woman.

Athlone is the king of the midlands in my opinion. Sean's Bar is the oldest pub in Ireland, and there's a nice cathedral there too.
