yellow, orange, red alert thread

Alan from Carlow seems to know what he's talking about but who knows? 🤷 Going to stock up on bread , toilet roll, coal and candles. You can't be too careful.😃
Sounds great, make toast by putting a fork through a slice of bread in front of the fire. Have just one or two candles on and tell scary ghost stories.
Add to the tension by having rosary beads for each person to say a prayer to ward off evil spirits.
Pretend you're possessed and talk in a menacing voice to the kids.

Is'nt it amazing that mine grew up to be alright after I reared them lol.

St Colman's Cloyne announced that the will be closed Friday...🤨
these county wide alerts are a balls,

According to the met Eireann app wind speeds in Cork City top out at about 70kmph at 05:00

For Castetownbere (just to pick a westerly spot) about 93kmph for a longer period

Two very different scenarios.

Yes the track is uncertain this far out but places further east like Cloyne are way more likely just to have a shitty night of weather than experience any substantial damage

Spot on - exact same with snow few weeks ago. North Cork looked like hit by artic storm but anywhere South of City and East Cork more or less bone dry after bit of rain and sleet on the Monday!
