Work hit me with a curveball today. Advice needed.

Work are just ignoring me now.

I'm still getting paid but haven't heard from them since Wednesday last.

Which is grand like but it's fairly demeaning.

That's the way of the corporate world. Hero today, zero tmr. The only thing that's real is the money. Don't take it personally.

Did you just stop going in or something? I've never come across behaviour like that and I've worked in desperate environments. You're definitely better off leaving that place anyway

They've no job for me but I'm on a permanent contract. So they're paying me until HR figure out how much to pay me and when I can finish, but in the meantime I've no work to be doing.

I'm literally spending my days at home refreshing my laptop so it looks like I'm online, but with no actual work to do.

I'd say don't feel bad and look forward to the payout. At least you're getting paid though, like it could be worse for sure.

Hundred procent. I know for a fact that my crowd are going to start offloading people big time, and many won't be leaving with a wad of cash. I'm very fortunate all things said and done
