PS the union rep and i attended a hearing in Maryborough house and that’s the best he told me he could get( pure lies)
He was in cahoots with the employer I was told months later,
And to add insult to injury his brother Peadar Beecher was our chairman in Cork( SF provisional)

As a Union rep for more years than I care to remember I lm of the strong opinion that the Union will see after itself first and foremost. The amount of times we got “horse-traded” by the Union still burns me.
They’re better than no Union - but always be aware that those with your best interests at heart are you, not the Union, unless it suits their best interest too. And if letting a smaller group, or individuals, down so they have an easier ride long term, they’ll do it
