Women’s national football team

Fair point.

Bit mad having it in a 45k stadium though.

Musgrave Park would have suited it fine.
They could really market it as the home of women's sport in a ireland between that and the Women's 6 nations.

I also think, it's the best stadium to watch pretty much any sport in. you're just that much closer to the action than Flower Lodge or Thomond Park and it's a nicer set up than the Cross. or say Fitzgeralds stadium and the Pairc, Semple, Gaelic grounds are too big

Yeah the middle of the East Terrace is as good as you'll get for watching a game anywhere.

Musgrave or the Cross would have had a cracking atmosphere.

Munster rugby were paying nearly 200k for the Pairc, making it something they needed to know they had a sell out for to make it viable over Thomond. Are the FAI getting some sweet heart deal here? Making a loss if paying full whack. Hard to imagine the GAA hosting a soccer game for peanuts.

Actually it'd have to be the Cross wouldn't ut because of the ridiculous Seating only rules?

That whole move to safestanding in football seems to have stuttered a bit it'd hardly be worth getting in temp seats for Musgrave park

I can only assume they got a reduced rate on using the pairc or else the FAI lost a few bob on the game.

It's great for the women's game they can promote the game outside of Dublin and build their fan base.

The Cork girls seem to like scoring in the Pairc too so happy days.

Read Swiss women's senior team played an U15 boys team in a friendly last week, They were beaten 7 1.

They need to stop doing that shite. One of the girls will get hurt. If lads can remember back to lads they played with at u15 or coached now at u15 level, lads are big and strong enough to do damage if they make or mistime a tackle etc.

It proves nothing and nobody would have learned anything from that game. These games have nothing but negativity around them imo.
