And not a single protest or national mourning over this latest vile murder. Almost as if only certain lives matter. Not even a televised funeral been announced as of this time. RIP to Gelia Ibram

Another group of public servants protesting. I tried to get a letter somewhat important to the city hall yesterday but they were closed. If they had any sense of public duty they would be working to clear a jam of paperwork in the housing department

Habib Shamel, 32, an Afghan national, appeared in Belfast Magistrates' Court by video link this morning.

The officer said Mr Shamel had arrived in Dublin from Afghanistan in October 2020 and claimed political asylum and had the right to be resident until next year.
