Woke School Alert...

If none of you are bothered in even attempting to understand the point I was making, there's no point.

I posted in the immigration thread about a guy who shouldn't have been in the country, raping someone. He's in jail now serving his time.

I posted in this thread saying I'd have a pint with McGregor over the Burkes.

He lost a civil case, paid the money, so essentially he has served his time too.

That's grand anyway, keep trying to paint me as someone supportive of rapists if that's what makes ye feel powerful.
No he hasn't paid the money and is in the process of appealing the verdict. Equating that paying out money in a civil case that you lost is sufficient to time served is fucking appalling.

You heard it hear folks if you can afford to rape it's open season.

The point you made was that you would be happy to have a pint with McGregor.

Nobody is "painting" you anyway. In your own words you don't have an issue with McGregor. I personally wouldn't want to hang out with a rapist, even if they had "served their time", but you do you.

Stop pretending to be a victim because you were called out on your own logic though.

You personally wouldn't want to hang out with him. And that's grand.

I wouldn't necessarily want to hang out with him either, but I said I'd have a pint with him.

Because you wouldn't want to hang out with him, nobody else should either?

One of these men is in jail and the other isn't. The justice system dealt with each in a way that it saw fit. Not saying I agree with it, but that's the fact.

No but you most definitely implied it, hence the previous paragraph where you incorrectly said that McGregor had paid out in the civil case so had 'served his time'. Hence how I summarised your ill-informed post.

That was the punishment he was given by the judicial system. Surely once he pays the fine, it is case closed and he is free to walk?

Is that not the same as someone being sent to jail, serving their time, and then walking free at the end of it?

Take it up with the courts if you're upset about his punishment.

You are saying that you would be happy to have a pint with a rapist, and somehow you are offended that other people take issue with that.
