No more security updates.

Anyone still using it should upgrade to windows 10 if they need to stay on winodws (you can still do it for free btw).

However, if it's a machine running 7, I assume it's a bit old and might benefit from installing ubuntu or something just as light if you don't have to have windows.

Didn't they force people to to it anyway? My laptop ran W7 and I kept postponing it. Turned it on one day and the update was installing.

Fuckers!!! Wanted to put photos and documents on a usb stick first but ended losing most of them. Laptop never worked properly afterwards so had to fork out on one with W10 installed.

W10 home edition is an insufferable pile of shit. I'd recommend some sort of Linux distribution to anyone getting a new machine or looking to prolong the life of an older one
