Got my plastic windows from probably the major player in the province (since Hele have closed anyway) about 20 years ago.

Am I right in thinking double glazed windows are way more efficient in terms of heat retention now? And is there much need/benefit in Triple Glazed windows for the Irish climate? And if so roughly how much do say a 5 foot by 4 foot window cost?

Hele were the business, classic have a place out in Killumney.

My folks still have the Hele 35 years later never a problem.

There shouldn't be a huge difference in cost between double and triple. If you need to choose the option you have there makes sense for heat loss and sound.

I used Munster Joinery 12 months ago when I re-did my entire house - no issues of note with them.

A guy from M.J. came to check up on the work - unprompted - and our satisfaction with the job a few weeks later. One of the doors had been sticking a bit - a fitter arrived two days later, fixed it and double-checked every window and door again.
