Why do Politicians continue on a daily basis with the excuse "We need to do more"

Why do we continue to accept politicians stating, in respect of every aspect of life in Ireland, Housing, Health, Education, Spending to name a few, "We need to do more" when FFFG have been in power since the foundation of the State while things are getting worse.

We all know more needs to be done, just get on and do it.

You can add “removing scrambler bikes from the roads” to that list.

Yanno what, I dunno why we haven't started attacking FF/FG more with this stick. They're quick to deflect and blame X, Y and Z when it's nothing to do with them.

Just part of the PR training gobbeldigook crap they all spout these days. 'Lessons have been learned', 'yes but * reams off ten mins of stats*'.

If you see footage from the likes of questions and answers from 2010 even , politicians spoke in far more normal, less scripted language

Politicians do all sorts of very frustrating things.

In every constituency in the country you have opposition politicians claiming credit for projects and infrastructure which they had absolutely nothing to do with. Unless of course you count sending an email as doing something.

Agree with you but the same applies to Government politicians

There was a clip last night of a Senator from Enniscorthy with a furrowed brow "calling on the government" to do something about the flooding. And the Fine Gael clown is fucking part of the government! Top marks for public relations management though: steal the oppositions lines before they get a chance to mouth them. Make sure you get the face on the RTE news for the votes next time. Never waste a good crisis etc.
