If I was living in town, Ballyphehane, Rochestown, Bishopstown, Sundays Well and St. Luke's have always struck me as nice. Unlike Matty, my ideal would be a village or the outskirts of a town, ideally within about 15 minutes of the sea.
A grande house overlooking the Lee fields up in Sunday's Well maybe. I've lived on the Northside long term and I liked St Lukes and Montonotte well enough.
If I were going to live in town again, I'd love to get my paws on one of the terraced houses in the square on the north mall. My mam grew up there, so it's obviously sentimental, but it's a great little spot. I'd say the houses would be absolute money pits though.
