Which Cork places would you like to live?

Ya , could definitely do with a "more inviting" pub or spot to eat in the neighbourhood but alot going for it besides that

Tory Top and Hawthorn are ok.. But both need a serious revamp.

Can understand the Hawthorn in the condition it's in, as it's up for sale. But the Tory Top was taken over not too long ago now really, but it's seriously run down.

As you say though, plenty bus stops, so pubs towards town only a few minutes away. And some good choices there too.

All were grand when I lived there. No idea what it's like now, although I still live only 10 mins away.

Never minded the Hane boy's, they rightfully accepted us Togher lads were their betters and stayed in our shadow.

They were far better lads than those weepy and moany excuses for males Bishopstown lads though that would go crying to mammy when we stole their lemon bonbons.

I've met alot of people on my road, mix of older people there 20-30 years and raised their families and younger couples / families.. all seem to look out for each other so far. Maybe each road is different but not had any hassle

The Tory Top def needs a refresh !! Would consider The Hawthorn as the Lough.

I love where I live so it would take a lot to move me from here. I have family in Blackrock and in St Lukes, and both places are lovely too - so I could see myself moving to either. Not sure there is anywhere else in the city I would like to live.

If I was to move out of the city I would want to be in the middle of nowhere. No interest in living in a village or a suburb. Our in Beara somewhere maybe. Where I am from in north Cork is gorgeous, but if I was to move to the sticks I think I would want it to be by the sea.

Many a time I dunked Bishopstown lads in the Curraheen River.

They needed the wash like but never seemed grateful.

That just about says it all about them.

They weren't Bishopstown lads, they were from Curraheen Estate which was a blight on a nice area.
