Where in Cork am I?

Used to get dinner in there every day on my lunch breaks from the school across the road. Mid 70s iirc.

I was digging into plates of beef stroganoffs and the likes for free while the classmates were eating sugar sandwiches lol.

The aul lady worked there so they spoiled me rotten 🤴
*vomit*

My friend's grandmother used to feed us those as a reward (and I use the word loosely!) for picking stones. There's a north Cork 90s childhood for ya!

Picking stones was the job... when you got to drive the tractor.
Even when you didn't it was good fun.
7 or 8 of ye wandering around a field on a sunny day behind a tractor and trailer driving at a snails pace, talking shite, having little races, throwing stones.
Then the reward of fizzy drinks and biscuits (no sugar sambos, just hang).

I'll try and explain this joyful scenario to my kids some day and they will probably look at me with a mixture of intrigue and sympathy and say "there's an app for that now dad, Stonepickers, I'm high score, here have a go".
