The decline of Italian Football is very sad imo. Young lads today would barely believe you when you tell them how utterly dominant it was at one time.

Read somewhere recently they hired Roberto Baggio to do a report on where it was failing in 2011, when they'd won a world cup 5 years before, and Inter were CL winners. He compiled a 900 page report and they basically threw it in the storeroom.

He probably needs to do a 5,000 page report now.

Kenyan Men's Track Runners.

No 5000m gold since 2005 no 10,000m since 2001.

Wanyoni is still the kiddie at 800m but outside of that they are nowhere.

Their women still dominate but the men are spent.

A combination of more money on the roads and drug testing but ask any casual sports fan and they will likely talk about east African dominance.
