I wasn't have a pop at you, it's just that way of referring to them seems to be the rage at the momentI probably should have said republicanism but fair point

There are 2 sides to every story and usually the truth is elsewhere.Let the people sing.
If you don't like it don't give it attention.
One of the biggest acts ever at EP and it wasn't down to people saying don't listen to them.
Young people are learning their history.
Also young people are now seeing what's going on in Gaza and see the relating to what the Irish people suffered back then.
Some songs are written about people pre troubles and 80's.
The Good Friday Agreement settled all of that back in 1998 via consent of people on both sides of the island.Let the people sing.

Sean South would have been some craic at parties.I would've said Sean South of Garryowen, but there's one line that grinds my gears..."and the leader was a Limerick man, Sean South of Garryowen".
WTF? It's a verified historical fact that, because South was a great GAA player, he was brought over the border into Cork and played balls in a righteous attempt to usurp the evil empires of Kilkenny and Kerry.
True. The sad thing about Hollywood is that they're starting to apply diversity quotas at the exact time they're becoming less and less relevant.Sean South would have been some craic at parties.
Penned a series of frankly unhinged letters to the papers ranting about Hollywood movies with more than a whiff of anti Semitism, was a full on right wing Catholic religious nutcase even by the standards of the times. If he was alive now, he'd be definitely in the conspiracy theorist camp.
Indeed, except for one shower of republican scum. The Good Friday Agreement settled all of that back in 1998 via consent of people on both sides of the island.
The Middle East has been in wars and turmoil since the time of when Jesus was in short pants.
There is a brilliant TG4 documentary on Sean South.I would've said Sean South of Garryowen, but there's one line that grinds my gears..."and the leader was a Limerick man, Sean South of Garryowen".

any idea what that doc is called? would a seán south search on the tg4 player be enough? There is a brilliant TG4 documentary on Sean South.
He was a complete nutter. Absolute religious fanatic. Used to fuck off into the Limerick countryside for weeks on end living off the land and used insist on wearing a kind of Irish kilt that literally nobody else wore like a Scottish kilt without tartan.
He was so bloody Conservative that his hobby was going into the cinema with a torch to break up couples from fondling in the dark.
He quoted fascist writings a lot in his letters and definetly thought "well at least they got the trains running on time", meanwhile the fella who actually led the raid on the RUC barracks was Sean Garland a hardcore Marxist who became leader of the workers party and got involved with the KGB.
you couldn't make it up. two boys must've been like Statler and Waldorf
I don't know if that's on the TG4 player but well worth checking out
