What TV Series Are You Watching Now?

[Yermon]

Due to recommendations here I started watching Westies

Full of cliched national stereotypes so far (about to watch episode three), woeful attempts at Irish accents, and a pretty thin story line. Hope it picks up.

First of all the majority of the gang bar one are all New Yorkers of Irish descent so thats the accent they're going for. The two main Ra members are actual Irish actors putting on a nordie accent. It's a bit cartoonish granted but it's for an American audience not a middle aged SF member from Ireland.

It's not for you. Go back to watching Freinds instead. It's great in your opinion you said.
Stay in your own lane.

Not even being sarcastic.
He likes Freinds. I don't think he'd like Westies as it doesnt change. Westies is far from a masterpiece. It's a cartoonish, simplified, even semi glorification of some really horrible guys in real life.
Not even close to reality. It's more like a comic and more in the flavour of Boardwalk empire then Sopranos.
I like it. Its easy to watch and not mentally demanding. You find yourself cheering the Irish(in reality who were horrific monsters) and against the cartoonish villains the Italians are.

Lanterns is great, 8/10 Suit is shite tho

[Matlock]

Furious. Half way through, 8/10

Grim, but really really good.

[Hang_Sandwich]

snabba cash (Swedish love hate type thing) on netflix.
Also Gomorrah Origins (if you've watch Gomorrah they you know) this is quite stylish also, set in the 70s

[Sugarlumps69]

Widows Bay - Class show, great casting & humor.

[dunadoni]

Trigger point season 4. 6 episodes. Finished it last night and really enjoyed it.

[Chara021]

Watched the Gentlemen 2. Quite good but not as good as the first one I thought. Maybe I expecting too much, cos it was brilliantly written and acted tbf.
