What restaurant would you like to see re-open?

If you could go back and have dinner in any place that no longer exists, where would it be?

For me, Annies in Sundays Well in its heyday. We went there the night we got engaged and had the day 2 of our wedding there, so it is very much caught up in that time of our lives for me, but my memories of the food are very good as well.

Also, afternoon tea in Longueville House in Mallow. It was spectacular.

I never actually ate in the Ivory Tower and Regret not giving it a spin.

Les Gourmandises was always our once a year spot that never let us down. it's a fantastic room too I'm surprised it was never let out again.

Iyers was our take our Indian place it was cheap as chips and served stuff I've has never even heard of. Cracking spot

The Ivory Tower was brilliant, as long as you were happy to go along with whatever the Sheamus show was on any given evening! The food was good enough that we bothered to go to Killarney to eat in his place there once or twice after he moved. I don't think he is cooking anywhere at present though?

Fond memories of that place as a kid although it may have been The Sundays Well Tavern at the time? My dads side of the family is from there, side entrance to the lounge. Me nan would be down there every Sunday, guaranteed taytos and coke. I watched Ireland vs Romania 1990 world game there.

I ate there a few times and it was great, but you'd consistently hear if people being disappointed as well when the mood took him and he wasn't on it. I think he had an issue with the HSA near the end as well which would give you the shivers?

I was at a wedding he catered which was a bit mad, he went mental on portion sizes and made about 8 courses so no-one could even look at the final 3-4. There was untouched food everywhere you looked

You'll all think I'm an eejit but Captain Americas.

That was always my place for a special occasion both as a child and an adult, in Dublin and in Cork.

It was close as we had to a Hard Rock Cafe, and I loved it. You could have a nice burger and a pint next to a signed Rory Gallagher album or Elton John's suit. When I was in college we had a little keyring that they gave us on freshers week which entitled you to buy one get one free on main courses in there, so we used go there a lot.

I was very sad to see it go, and it's awful to see it still derelict. I wish I'd bought one of the tshirts when it was open.

He went on the radio to defend himself basically saying it was HACCP violations for things like not cleaning up after spilling stuff mid service.

He basically said that's a load of bollocks in a busy kitchen and HACCP was developing for NASA and when he's cooking there was too much shit happening in too small a kitchen to bother with as its inevitable.

He used also go mental about shit buskers on Oliver Plunkett street
