My mother’s roots were Scots prods. My father West Cork catholics since time began. Sizeable minority of prods in West Cork down around Dunmanway, Bantry.

Spent a few years of my formative years in Bantry area…lots of prods down there always found them reallynice neighbors..

I’m a bit of a mirror image of you ponti - my fathers people were of Scottish Presbyterian stock - my mother’s forebears were out of north-west Cork.
