I would prefer the Indies and Independent Ireland.
Bacik will insist on God knows what.
Soc Dems, I just can't warm to them.

The SocDems are gobshites. Cairns is a flake.

Padraig Rice, Rory Hearne, Gary Gannon? Hard to think of a less likeable bunch.
They nearly got in Eliza O'Donovan in Limerick. That would have been funny, she's deranged. Their screening process seems less than stringent with other nutters like Linda Heyden being selected.

Labour are another basket case. Bacik is a dangerous looper.

I'd hate to see either commanding government ministries.

The best outcome imo is FFG with Ind/Rural alliance/Ind Ireland.

I agree, the Greens had it so that the tail was wagging the dog.
The electorate have spoken it seems to me it's the same but with like minded independents.
100%

If they thought dealing with Eamon Ryan was frustrating - imagine how they'd feel after 5 years of trying to reason with Ivana Batshit and/or Holly Dreamer.

My above post was on the tactics needed.

I think also, that FFFG should just accept that The Dail is now a left / right split, the same as most modern democracies.
So they should just not entertain the thought of accepting a left leaning grouping into Government

FF/FG both know that they aren't going to fix the housing crisis. They can't even fix the planning process. They can't fix the health service.

The public realise that the Left Wing Loons couldn't fix anything and would only fuck up a good economy.

It's about lip service and optics.

Just look at one example - the rental crisis :-
The only fix this is to encourage the smaller property owners to stay in the market (tax breaks to REITS was obviously not the answer) - they do the opposite. Force them to rent out at 50% of the market rate and then tax their income to fuck, while regulating as much as possible. The Shinners intend to force the owners to sell with tenants in situ. Effectively blocking sales. So instead of encouraging business people to stay in the market - they do everything possible to drive them out.

That's the way we roll in Ireland.

It'll be exactly the same with the housing crisis.

The people have overwhelmingly rejected the leftist policies of the Green Party.

For FFG to hand the keys to the kingdom to another bunch of lefty headbangers would be to go against their own mandate.

Last time out

FF 38, SF 37, FG 35.

As of now with 12 seats left to fill

FF 43, SF 36, FG 36

Labour to get a couple
FF to get 4
FG to get 2/3
SF to get 3 maybe

Would MM demand sole Taoiseach if the gap is 8 or 9 seats? They'd be short maybe 2 or 3, with Lowry, McGrath, the Healy Raes, the road haulage woman and Independent Ireland? That'd be 9.
Or go with Labour or Soc Dems who'll have 11/12?
Was only out by one for FF.
86.
Thought they'd make it on their own.
2 shy.
