What club in Cork do you most admire beside your own club ?

Seen a thread elsewhere regarding most liked clubs and got me thinking what clubs are liked in our county .

Id have a liking for Nemo rangers as I always found them ok on and off pitch and their underage always well run and well disciplined..

Their facilities are excellent and they have won it all as a club.

Some great dual clubs also around County but that wouldnt mean they are liked as a club so interested on lads views and why so? ...

The Barrs are a fairly sound lot as well.

I had family down from Meath a few years ago, and one of them is heavily involved with a GAA club up there.

He specifically asked if we could bring him out to Nemo for a look, because he had heard so much about their facilities. He was absolutely blown away by how impressive the set up was.

My adopted club now is Cloughduv, and they are very well run with a good community focus. I was only down at the monthly spin and win last Saturday after the defeat to Tracton

I suppose the clubs who do their best to promote both codes should be commended the most.
Newcestown are the obvious ones. Valley Rovers and Aghabullogue also currently play at Premier Intermediate or Senior in both codes with not huge population bases.

Thats not to say I don’t admire say the Barrs, Carrigaline, Ballincollig and Douglas too.
But it’s far easier for bigger clubs like that when they’ve have big town/city populations, and often it’s almost a different set of players bar a few on their hurling and football teams.

My club too unfortunately not looking good this year . The village is now after quadrupling in size in last few years so that can only be good for the club .
