Finished an adult colouring book. The markers went through the page, so lots of holes. I'd hang them on the washing line but my internet is down and I can't check the weather.

I love Day of the Jackal, read it first when i was 15 a cracking yarn

Forsyth was infamous for his research. when he was writing the dogs of war he almost started a coup in Equatorial Guinea by accident on behalf of the Igbo tribe who he was known to be sympathetic too after his coverage of the Biafran war.

He went at far as meeting arms dealers and getting quotes from mercenary groups.

Re-read Charles Bukowski's "Hollywood". Great fun.

Currently reading "Adventures In The Screen Trade" by William Goldman - a nice follow on from Hank Chinaski's time in Tinsel Town.

The Goldman book is an absolutely ripping yarn. No idea why I didn't get around to it before now.

Best book I’ve read in a long time. Literally stopped me dead a few times.

9/10

Mrs Markyboy had an uncle who was on the receiving end of Japanese slave labour which he talks about throughout this book. He subsequently died eating an ice-cream in a back garden in Turners Cross. Never recovered the poor man. RIP

Absolutely brilliant book. Really enjoyed (if that's the right word) it.
