Yeah, they are simple enough stories but beautifully written3/4 ways through ' Olive Kitterage' by Elizabeth Strout. The last book I have in the Lucy Barton series.
It's an easy read. Would recommend for holidays book.

Leonard and Hungry Paul by Rónán Hession. The most joyful, uplifting story of people being happy and living simple lives.
I have to admit re my Eimear McBridge thing I haven't read A Girl is a Half Formed Thing or The Lesser Bohemians, just Strange Hotel."Leonard and Hungry Paul" is excellent. Hession's next book "Panenka" is equally as good, if a little different.
I have not read his latest "Ghost Mountain" yet.
