Welcome Palestine

Harris should send Joan Burton as a special envoy to negotiate Murphy's release. She could succeed but only after letting the odious creature sweat it out in a cell for a few days. That would be karma for Palestine Paul.
Joan could say to the crowd...will we let him go?

It's obvious that the government's lack of any real action against Isreal is fear of the economic implications it would bring to this country. Israel is going too far in what it is doing to the Palistinians. The power that Ireland and it's worldwide diaspora has on the world stage is it can sway the public opinion of the English speaking world. If the leaders of this country took some bit of reasonable action on moral grounds it might just sway opinion on a world stage.

What a load of nonsense, we have way above our station as a little irrelevant neutral country.

Absolutely it is
We were one of the first European Union members to recognize the State of Palestine
We joined South Africa's case against Israel at the International Court of Justice, focusing on the situation in Gaza
We called Israel's de facto annexation of Palestine illegal.
We established formal diplomatic relations between the Ireland and the State of Palestine
We are currently debating an occupied territories bill.

Now, back under your rock, idiot.

Some measures, yes, I would prefer if they go further and are more conscious that each day this goes on, more people are killed. I myself am scared of what the Isrealis are capable of but hiding under a rock and saying nothing is cowardly to me. I'm saying the leaders of the government should take real and reasonable action like insisting as much as possible that the EU place financial sanctions on Isreal or whats in our juristriction, if legally entitled to, board randomly some of the military flights from the US that land in Shannon heading to Isreal. If anything illegal found follow due process. At this stage I think people who weigh in on the side of Isreal without seeing that now its a completely unfair fight are morally corrupt
