That is the thing that rarely gets reported. I get that Israel are blocking aid getting through but why would they let it through when Hamas are keeping it for themselves and not letting it be distributed to those that actually need it.

Spot on and they also keep refusing ceasefire deals, they had the choice to stop the destruction and have aid flood in and rejected it, why does this just swept under the carpet?

There was an actual ceasefire in place with hostages actually being returned and Israel broke it for no reason.

It looks like Israel will not stop until Hamas is destroyed (can’t happen) or Hamas give up and disband (won’t happen). Netanyahu has proven time and again the hostages don’t mean shit to him and Hamas have proven time and again that their existence is more important than the Palestinian people.

The US has come out to say that a 2 state solution is not possible. So that leaves us with the genocide continuing.

I think if Hamas gave up tomorrow such is the situation there Israel would find some kind of justification to continue or it would ease back and continue it’s death by a thousand cuts. Just look at the West Bank and tell me that isn’t so!!

Yeah you are right that Huckabee actually said it and then the white house press secretary dodged the question so it looks like it is not official US policy yet anyway. Although if Trump wants to turn Gaza into the Riviera then a 2 state solution probably doesn't fit into his thinking.

It’s a valid point but a 60 day truce with a hostage deal and aid was on the table and turned down, that’s a fact!

Although not ideal by any means it would have facilitated some much needed respite and food/medicine for people that needed it desperately, perfect doesn’t need to be the enemy of good.

I agree with you on Netanyahu & Hamas they don’t give two shits about their own people and how this plays out is a frightening prospect but a 60 day deal could have provided a platform to build on.

The lack of aid to those people is a frightening and there is also evidence suggesting the stuff coming from the UN is being taken by Hamas and not reaching people.
