The response to the situation in Palestine is this the EU might not have been able to prevent Israel from going hard against Gaza but they could have applied the same approach they took with Russia. Would not seem as hypocritical or defending a genocide which has eroded the EU credibility on the world stage.

It is this double standards that international law only applies to Russia attacking Ukraine but when Israel raids into the West Bank in Palestine or bombs Syria and expands into Syrian Golan then Europe does not speak about International Law, makes a mockery of justice & diplomacy.

Just who exactly are RTE suggesting independently confirm or refute the figures of civilians deliberately slaughtered and killed by the IDF? The IDF even kill week old children so they're not going to balk at killing another independent observer or two or ten.

RTE never said "there was no independent confirmation of how many were killed in October 7th attack", but it's been revealed since that quite a number of those misfortunate Israelis were actually killed by the IDF too.

Israel has been caught telling lies from the get go in this and previous conflicts its been involved in, but of course RTE would like people to understand that it's the IDF's victims have no independent confirmation

It's inhumane what's happing there. However, what did Hamas hope to gain from October 7th and what have they gained? Gaza is in ruins, the people are starving to death, men, women and children are getting killed every day. Most of the Hamas leaders are dead and they have lost thousands of their fighters.

Not matter how oppressed a people are, surely there was another way.

To be fair you can accept that Israel are committing war crimes while also accepting that what Hamas did started this war.
