Weekend at Bernie's comes to Carlow

Voice message doing the rounds naming one of the transporters as the transportee's son.

Bit of a mad plan. I'm sure if he got the dad's social services card and said something like "Dad's feeling very bad so I'm here to collect his pension" they might have gotten away with it.
The lads must have been pissed out of their minds.

It was mentioned in the press that the reason they had to go and get the body was because when they first went to collect they were refused because they weren't related to the deceased

He’s the son apparently. There’s a voice note from one of his neighbours doing the rounds. The two lads were out of it on drugs allegedly. Sad story.

Post mortem determines OAP carried into post office to claim pension did not die suspiciously

"Two men, both in their 30s, entered the post office on Staplestown Road in the town and attempted to claim the cash but were told they needed either Mr Doyle to be present or his next of kin.

It is thought they then went to Mr Doyle’s home and carried him along a public footpath before making a second attempt to claim his pension."
