I think it's more to do with the public sector acceptance of pay cuts than it is about Lisbon.

Considering the Greek protesters considered it worthwhile to sacrifice some uninvolved people to make their point, I'm quite happy to not be like them.

yeah I wasn't really sure what it was to do with I just assumed Lisbon for some reason.

I think they were referring to NAMA and the bank bailout and how we took all the cuts without so much as a whimper. Except for the OAPS who did tbf protest
