War with Iran

The Lebanese army has 80,000+ personnel with far stronger air, land and naval capabilities than Hezbollah, they also have the backing of the US, France and probably Israel if they went up against Hezbollah.

Hezbollah has approx 20,000 fighters but would be miles ahead with rockets & drone technology and combat experience.

Unfortunately civil war is an almost certainty at some point when you allow a clandestine fundamentalist army to gain a foothold in your country but I don’t think the Lebanese are as helpless as you’d make out.

We’re in agreement on Israel’s policy of having no issue levelling a city block to hit one target, A lot if not most of their operations are completely over the top with severity and loss of civilian lives.

The best we can all hope for us Bibi and psycho’s in his cabinet are voted out this year and a more moderate government comes into power.

But let’s not forget Hamas & Hezbollah need to be permanently nullified and Iran need to wind their neck in for there to be any chance at peace, Isreal have more than enough blame to take but not all of it.

I have a very good friend from Beirut - he would give them limited chance against Hezbollah based on the kind of war that would unfold and the weapons they both have access to - who knows. The reality of the Lebanese army is a severely underfunded set-up lacking weapons, and what they have would be very outdated. Of course the US and France could arm them or help, but all of these strikes will have to be carried out in their own country with Hezbollah woven through every town, village and city there.. thats a hell of a call. I dont think the Lebanese simply didn't bother getting rid of them, they dont know how to really despite the plans they have drawn up because they had to, and are not confident they could, plus their last civil war is in living memory for most there.

The terrorists behind 9/11 were al-Queda who are based and loyal to Afghanistan.
If an Irish man goes to fight and defend Ukraine, would you be happy for Russia to invade or attack Ireland?
The terrorists behind 9/11 were Al-Queda but being loyal to Afghanistan has nothing to do with it.
They were trained by the Taliban in Afghanistan but they were of Saudi and Egyptian descent.
