War with Iran

Is she wrong?

What are the aims of this conflict? Where is the legal justification for it? Sinking their Naval vessel while it wasn't armed, killing >100 men, is a war crime.

She may be right but is it her place to comment on international issues? The government will have a strategy (possibly co-ordinated with other EU states) on how to deal with the crisis and what to say and not say. Head of government is meeting US president next week - doesn't need the President going on a solo run before that happens!
I don't recall her (nor would I expect her to) expressing shock and outrage when Iranian regime massacered thousands of its own citizens during the protests in late December/early January.

I suppose yeah, had she been outspoken about the murdered protesters then I guess this would be fair enough to comment on this.

But yeah, the president is a ceremonial position with a handy few bob, and decent benefits, she might be drifting away from the stated responsibilities of the role, maybe spend more time opening libraries.

All this while I agree with what she's saying it, etc, it's just not the right job to be doing it in.

Exactly, she is no longer a private citizen and as head of state has no business commenting on foreign conflicts, much less putting herself at odds with government policy.

As expected continuing the dreadful precedent set by the last langer

New Iranian leader is a great big "go fuck yourself, Donald".
He's lost his father, mother, wife and daughter in these attacks.

I somehow doubt he's going to be in a mood to negotiate a complete surrender.

Anyway, economic fallout from this is going to be pretty horrible if the Straits of Hormuz stay closed.
