Thinking about getting a friend to bring one back from the states for me, because it's about 500 euro cheaper... but he may not be able to help... any other suggestions?

Another alternative is to annoy someone you know who works in apple to get you one and save 30% due to staff discount.

if ya know someone really well that works there ya will get 27% off but generally 17% is the most people get off.

Ya cant get iphones anymore off them grrrr

Look at the Recent Releases and do the math.

A new macbook has been released every 6/7 months on average.

So it should be due a new release soon, unless its delayed which is doubtful.
