There must have been some amount of corruption there over the years for a country with so much oil to be living in dire straits.

I was there in 2011 when travelling South America, absolutely stunning country with really nice people but like Cuba absolutely ruined from successive failures at Government level, it worked to a certain degree under Chavez but after he died it’s been one crisis after another.

I do hope this leads to some semblance of stability for the people as it has so much potential.
