UFO vid released by DoD: Is This Not a Big Deal?

I know I'll get ancient aliens guy in response to this and cats with tin foil hats but the declassification of this video is a bigger deal than most people realise/think:

The background, this video shows an encounter between a Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet and an unknown object. It was released by the Defense Department's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. A whitish oval object, about the size of a commercial plane, chased by two Navy F/A-18F fighter jets from the aircraft carrier Nimitz off the coast of San Diego in 2004.

The fact this video was 'sat on' for 13 years, proves it's a pretty big deal, the fact there were fighters sent out to intercept this whiteish oval object is a big deal, the fact it's on video, on sensors, that there was a 'fleet of them' is incredible. This wasn't leaked to the press, it was released by a government body, no one is doubting these facts, there were numerous 'witnesses', it was caught on video, and by sensors, these weren't "earth lights", these weren't "weather balloons", these weren't "flares" this wasn't a mass hallucination, there's actual, factual evidence there was a 'fleet' of something best described as UFOs over San Diego in 2004.

Mr Mellon served for almost 20 years in the US federal government in a series of national security positions roles under presidents Bill Clinton and George W Bush.

The ex-national security chief, who had high-level clearance, was on a committee with oversight of all Department of Defence (DoD) special access programmes and spent a decade on the Senate Intelligence Committee, is one of a number of former senior government insiders who have gone on record about UFOs after joining truth-seeking organisation To The Stars Academy, set up by former Blink 182 frontman Tom DeLonge.

Mr Mellon, who also work on classified projects at Area 51 in Nevada, detailed the astonishing incident that reportedly happened off the coast of San Diego in broad daylight.

He said the Mimitz, a five billion dollar warship with a crew of thousands, was operating there, escorted by the USS Princeton, an Aegis class cruiser.

Mr Mellon said: "Imagine these ships engaging in a routine training exercise when an unidentified aircraft with a small radar cross section appears on the radar heading directly towards the battlegroup.

"The aircraft has no transponder does not respond to radio calls. The Princeton contacts two F-18s already aloft to intercept the target as the two F-18s approach the four aviators see that the object has no wings or exhaust.

"It is white, oblong, some 40 feet long and perhaps 12 feet thick."

He said one pilot pursued the craft while his wing man stayed high in the air.

Mr Melon said: "The pilots are astonished to see the object suddenly reorient itself toward the approaching F-18.

"In a series of discreet tumbling manoeuvres that seem to defy the laws of physics.

"The object takes a position directly behind the approaching F-18.

"The pilot’s capture gun camera footage and infrared imagery of the object.

"They are outmatched by a technology they’ve never seen."

"Dozens of military personnel aboard the various planes and ships involved are privy to these interactions.

Here's the pilot talking about it:

Commander David Fravor’s colleagues made fun of him after learning he encountered what appeared to be a UFO during a standard training mission off the coast of San Diego in 2004.

Fravor was in his F/A-18F fighter jet when a radio operator asked him to investigate a mysterious, white floating object hovering over the sea, he told The New York Times. He made a beeline for the 40-foot, oval-shaped object. But as he approached, it changed course and disappeared.

“It accelerated like nothing I’ve ever seen,” he told the Times, adding that he was “pretty weirded out,” and that although he had no idea what he saw, all he could tell was that “it had no plumes, wings or rotors and outran our F-18s.”

So, given that Aliens is the least likely source/outcome. Who else could have this technology? The Chinese? The Russians?

I hardly think this is likely, neither have managed to put a nuclear aircraft carrier afloat, if they don't have the technology or expertise to do it, how would they suddenly jump that far ahead technologically? Also, why would US, Russia and China keep pumping billions into rockets if they have some form of exhaust-less (no plumes) engine?

So most likely source would by another branch of the US I guess (actually might explain why NASA funding has been so lacking), yet again, why if they had this technology would they keep it secret and if they were keeping it secret why would they approach their carrier group at day and give up their secret?

This is a very weird story, the fact no one involved in reporting it had their mental capacity questioned and seem to be of sound mind and character and a 13 year investigation still doesn't know what the hell this thing was means it's a long shot from someone merely seeing a bright orb in the sky, which could be dismissed of course.

There was something in the Sky over San Diego, this appears to be fact. It used a propulsion that left no exhaust and had no wings, this also seems to be fact, it's hard not to think this is a big deal so.

Theories?

It's called falling.

How fucking small do you think the universe is?

Has Pres Trump finally released the Alien files? We're getting somewhere.

Don't think he had anything to do with it but yes, it appears we are getting somewhere, there is actual evidence and the US Gov is not doubting or ridiculing those involved, someone has technology we only thought existed in fantasy or far off galaxies, not flying towards a US carrier group in broad daylight off of San Diego in 2004...
