We also need people to look in their bloody mirrors the odd time. Too many drivers have no idea what's going on around them, other then straight ahead. We need a massively increased park and ride service covering Dunkettle too.

I saw on line that a new apartment complex for L'ile De Jacob was turned down as the road infrastructure nearby would not be able to cope. At first I bemoaned the lack of imagination that seems to infuse our City planners, but, after this morning I thought, Fuck it, we cant be adding more cretins to an already treacherous network.Isn’t it there a whole new town (water rock) of approx 5k people that will be opening near midleton in the next few years ?
Surely the tunnel/infrastructure can’t take that extra load ?
And explain to the younger people they are not playing a game of Grand Theft Auto. Crashes have consequences. We also need people to look in their bloody mirrors the odd time. Too many drivers have no idea what's going on around them, other then straight ahead.
The amount of people who don’t use indicators is staggering too. Was driving home from Little Island this morning and the number of people not using them was ridiculous. Some with no lights in either. We also need people to look in their bloody mirrors the odd time. Too many drivers have no idea what's going on around them, other then straight ahead.

I'm afraid it's a phenomenon particular to Cork. I don't see it to anywhere to the same extent in Dublin or elsewhere (I do a lot of driving around the country). As I say to people, is it little wonder Cork is not winning All-Irelands anymore when half its adult population are too stupid or too lazy to use the indicators on their car.The amount of people who don’t use indicators is staggering too. Tbh I thought it was a terrible decision, five hundred apartments and if for argument sake they had 2 cars each (which they wont), that's only a 1000 cars on a road that carries 80k daily.I saw on line that a new apartment complex for L'ile De Jacob was turned down as the road infrastructure nearby would not be able to cope.
